IPS Co-Founder/Chief Administrative Officer

Read about our why she seeks to create a new type of trade school for young people.

Hope Hohmann is a retired public servant, and a mother of a tenacious teenager who happens to be autistic. The creation of IPS came as a serendipitous encounter with an acquaintance, now friend, Naina, who needed help with an idea. Recently retired and at a crossroads in her life, IPS became a beacon to a new path in her life, disability advocate.

Hope is a proud retiree of the County of Fairfax. During her tenure, she worked very closely with the skilled trade profession. She has first-hand experience with the waning applicant pool for this critical industry. IPS will provide a much needed pipeline of applicants for the businesses of Northern Virginia and give our graduates a purpose and financial stability in their lives.

During her career, she served on many key initiatives and studies. Hope was afforded the opportunity to present/brief senior leadership and the Board of Supervisor personnel sub-committee as an active participant and/or lead. She also represented the County on the customer advisory board for Neogov, and co-presented at the 2017 Neogov User conference. For her contributions and guidance, she was presented with several Outstanding and Team performance awards during her tenure, and was part of a team who received a Best Implementation Award in 2014 from Neogov.

Hope is a native of Virginia, living most of her life in Fairfax County. She is active in her church, and is a regular volunteer for school activities. She and her family take advantage of the outdoor activities offered in Fairfax County and the surrounding areas. She lives in Northern Virginia with her husband, son and their beloved yellow Labrador retriever, Sam.
